Is Abdul Basit bin Mohammed bin Sulayem bin Abdul Samad, one of the largest and most famous people of the Koran.
Sheikh Abdul Basit Abdul Samad was born in 1927 in the city of "Armant" of the province of Qena in southern Egypt, and his father, Sheikh Mohammed Abdul Samad, was a high-ranking Koranic in his village.

Abdul Basset Abdul Samad preserved the Qur'an in his town's book by the Emir Sheikh and studied the narrations with Sheikh Muhammad Salim. The Qur'an was completed at the age of ten.

Sheikh Abdul Basit Abdul Samad quickly became one of the greatest recruits in southern Egypt (Upper Egypt). But the event that changed the course of his life was represented in his visit to the mosque of Sayeda Zeinab in 1950, during the celebrations of the birth of the virtuous lady.

The celebration was attended by senior sheikhs such as Abdel Fattah al-Shaasha'i, Mustafa Ismail, Abdel Azim Zaher, Abul-Enein Shisha and others. Abdul Basset Abdul Samad read verses from Al-Ahzab in ten minutes, and this was enough to raise the attention of the masses that did not stop cheering and asked the boy to be recited until he met more than an hour and a half of reading. Abdel Basset Abdel Samad in the Egyptian radio in 1951, and was the first recitation of him on the waves of the radio to Sura Fater.

Sheikh was appointed in the following year as a reader of the Imam Shafi'i Mosque and then after the Imam Hussein Mosque in 1985, where he was successor to Sheikh Mahmoud Ali Banna.

Sheikh Abdul Samad left several recordings for his recitation of Quranic verses in addition to the recited Quran and Al-Majoud. He toured many countries around the world, and he made calls for radio recordings, religious ceremonies and readings in mosques in Saudi Arabia. (Read the Koran in Mecca and Medina), Syria, United Arab Emirates, Morocco, India, Pakistan, Palestine (where he read the Holy Qur'an at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque), France, England, USA and other countries in all parts of the world.

Sheikh Abdul Basit Abdul Samad was honored and crowned with several medals including the Order of Merit from Syria, the Order of Cedar from Lebanon, the Golden Medal from Malaysia and other prizes coming from Morocco and Senegal. And was honored and commemorated even after his death by Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on the occasion of the celebration of the night of fate in 1990.

Sheikh Abdul Basit Abdul Samad died on 30 November 1988 that he suffered from diabetes and liver laziness. His death has killed millions of Muslims in all parts of the world.
